On Thursday November 20th, 2025 at 6 p.m. the Vegezzi Pavilion of the Arata Campus will host the opening of the exhibition “Idee per un abitare leggero. L’esperienza di Vittorio Gandolfi”.

Curated by Politecnico di Milano professors Michele Ugolini and Stefania Varvaro, the exhibition offers a fascinating journey through drawings and refined models, showcasing the quality and relevance of the projects by the Parma-born architect, who was also a professor at the Politecnico for many years.

The initiative aims to build a relationship between the city of Piacenza - where Vittorio Gandolfi built extensively - and Piacenza Campus offering students some examples of minimalist, fascinating and stimulating architecture that represent a lesser-known side of Gandolfi's intense and rich professional activity.

During the inauguration, which will be attended by the curators with Stefano Stabilini, professor of Urban Planning with a great knolewdge of Piacenza, the idea and identity of the exhibition will be presented. The exhibition will remain open and free to visit until December 12th, 2025.
