Landscape Of[f] Limits (LOL) is an established international Summer School hosted at Politecnico di Milano - Piacenza Campus, developed in close collaboration with the City of Piacenza and its institutions. Each year, the program brings together around 100 selected students from Italian and international universities, creating a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.
LOL is an intensive research-by-design experience, combining academic rigor with strong social interaction among students, faculty, and invited experts. Participants work daily in design ateliers, developing projects in teams under the close supervision of internationally recognized practitioners. The workshop unfolds over ten days of full-time activity, including a collective site visit, continuous design development, and moments of shared discussion and critique.
A mid-term review allows participants to present and refine their work with invited critics, while the final phase culminates in a public exhibition and jury review. The 2026 edition introduces, for the first time, a final award, alongside a public recognition, highlighting the most outstanding projects.
The workshop takes place in the Arata Campus pavilions, where students have full access to facilities (library, laboratories, sports areas, etc.).
Full-time attendance is required.
